The iam smart camera uses a hardware-accelerated DPU (Deep Processing Unit) on the FPGA to efficiently execute deep learning networks in real time. This allows the camera to perform live image classifications directly during recording and provides pre-processed and classified images. This facilitates further evaluation and application, as the image data has already been analysed accordingly.
This technology is ideal for applications that require real-time decisions based on visual data, such as in industrial automation, security systems or robotics.
Advantages
- Simple training method without prior knowledge
- Onboard training based on a few current live images
- HMI based on digital inputs/outputs
- API with examples for easy integration
- Classified images for further image processing
